I am considering applying for a loan but the problem is that me and my husband have really bad credit ( bankruptcy, collections ). I have looked on-line and have found alot of them but i dont know how safe they are?
I wanna join the air force but they say I cant have bad credit. Would old student loans prevent me?

I just want to get a general idea from people who have or who have known someone else who have gotten a car loan on bad credit and how high the interest rate is.
Let’s say the applicant has a well-paying job but only for the past few months (say, 90k/yr). Looking at a new car 20-30k, on a 5 year payments plan. Down payment is 10%-20%.
What interest rates would you expect for mid-500’s credit score?
For 500?
For high 400’s?
Even lower? (is that possible?)
So car loan companies look at a lot more than just the credit score, right?
As in, a 550 credit score (due to no credit history) is much better than a 550 score that’s due to collections and late payments.

My credit is absolute crap from my former marriage (wife spending caused me extreme financial burden). When I say crap I mean bottom of the barrel.
I work from home and make between 5-7k a month. I want to move from California and relocate to GA where the housing is very cheap compared to here. My interest rate is 22.92% YIKES but i needed a car bad. the loan is for 9270 and its down to 8400. I had it since May08 and i got 41 months to remaining. Seeking advice not a tongue lashing,lol.

I do own my own home but am still paying off my mortgage. My son needs more money for college and we’ve tapped out on student loans and my credit cards are all maxed. I was wondering what I could do and thought that a home equity loan with bad credit might be an option. I don’t know if it’s a good idea though.
