Well, tough luck. Go get a job and pursue your education after you have repaired your credit.

it depends on how much you need, i’d say. are you talking about private student loans? my parents have excellent credit, but when i applied for a $16k loan from Chase this summer, they approved me without having a cosigner. having a cosigner will probably just help you get a lower interest rate.
don’t let other comments bring you down and stop you from pursuing your higher education. look–the banks probably won’t deny you credit, maybe just give you higher interest rates, because you can’t walk away from student loans (even if you go bankrupt). so they are in a win-win situation.
hope this helped a tad.
all the best.

You can fill out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid at fafsa.gov. Most schools have a preferred loan provider that federal aid is processed through. (For instance, my school used Bank of America).
Also, go to your Financial Aid office at the college and request to speak with an Aid Counselor. It is their job to help you get your schooling funded.
