Interest rates are based on the rates of your current loans. The things you should look for are the incentives offered since you will not be able to change the interest rate. How many on time payments are required to get a drop in your interest rate? Do you get a bonus for direct deduction from your bank account?

There are many student loan consolidation but all are not good. Always go to them who are legitimate and are BBB online registered. They can reduce the rates by 2% and also lowers the payment by 50%.
