Where can I apply for a STUDENT loan with bad credit?

13 Mar 2010I’m a 32-year old student in a major university. I’m living off of unemployment, but I don’t think it will cover the whole time I’m at school. I have bad credit and I desperately need students loans for my last two semesters.
Does anyone know where I can apply for a student loan for people with bad credit? Any help appreciated.

As long as you have not defaulted on a previous federal student loan, you are in a financial aid eligible major, and you are attending at least 1/2 time, you can apply for federal Stafford loans. You need to have completed the FAFSA first and then you need to check with your financial aid office to see if you are eligible.
If you have already received these loans and you are looking for more money beyond federal aid, then you might be in trouble unless you have a cosigner with good credit. Check with banks directly if this is where you are at.

Ask your counselors and financial aid advisers at the college that you are attending. They should be able to answer all the questions that you may have!!!
